How do different laser engraving machine equipment make machine settings

Laser engraving machines are different from mechanical engraving machines and other traditional manual engraving methods. Mechanical engraving machines use mechanical means, such as diamond and other extremely hard materials to engrave other things.

Laser engraving resembles high-definition dot matrix printing. The laser head swings from side to side, engraving a line consisting of a series of points each time, and then the laser head moves up and down at the same time to engrave multiple lines to form a full-page image or text. Scanned graphics, text and vectorized graphics can be carved using dot matrix.

Engraving intensity: Engraving intensity refers to the intensity of the laser that hits the surface of the material. With respect to a particular engraving speed, the greater the intensity, the greater the cutting or engraving depth. You can adjust the intensity using the engraver panel or using the computer's operating software. In the range of 1% to 100%, the adjustment fluctuation is 1%. The higher the strength, the lower the speed. The depth of the cut is also deeper.

Spot size: The spot size of the laser beam can be adjusted using lenses with different focal lengths. Small spot lenses are used for high resolution engraving. Lenses with large spots are used for lower resolution engraving, but are selected for vector cutting. The vector cutting is different from the dot matrix carving. The vector cutting is carried out on the outer contour line of the graphic. We usually use this mode to cut through wood, acrylic, paper and other materials, and can also perform marking operations on the surface of various materials.

Laser engraving machine engraving speed: The engraving speed refers to the speed of the laser head moving, usually expressed in IPS (inches per second), high speed brings high production efficiency. Speed is also used to control the depth of the cut, for a particular laser intensity, the slower the speed, the greater the depth of cut or engraving. You can adjust the speed using the panel of the engraver, or you can use the computer's operating software to adjust the speed. In the range of 1% to 100%, the adjustment fluctuation is 1%. The advanced motion control system of the motor allows you to obtain ultra-fine carving quality even when carving at high speed.
